House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was criticized heavily online after she offered a dismissive statement on mobs vandalizing and tearing down historical statues.
Pelosi indicated that she didn't disapprove of the illegal vandalism of statues in a media briefing on Thursday. She was asked about a statue of Columbus that was thrown into Baltimore harbor by protesters.
"Well you know, I'm not a big, I don't even have my grandmother's earrings, I'm not a big, uh, let's see what we have in terms of monuments, I'm more interested in terms of what people have accomplished," Pelosi said.
"I think that it's up to the communities to decide what statues that they want to see," she added. "If the community doesn't want the statue there, the statue shouldn't be there."
Pelosi went on to say that the vandalism against the statue of Columbus didn't diminish her pride in her Italian heritage.

When asked if it would be better if there were a formal process where a community could be involved in the political decision to tear down a statue, Pelosi appeared to be dismissive about the suggestion.
"People will do what they do," she replied, before adding that from a "safety standpoint" it might be better if the city was involved in the tearing down of statues.
The response Critics of Pelosi circulated videos of her comments on social media.

I think the dingbat was trying to make some sort of comment to the effect that she didn't care about heirlooms, keepsakes, or antiquities of any sort. She either lost her train of thought or realized that she couldn't weave that into a discussion of statues and monuments to real historical persons and events, and bailed out.
She then changed to the "I'm more interested in terms of what people have accomplished..." line of thought. Well of course, Nancy - it's not like an Atlantic crossing in the late 1400s was any sort of big accomplishment. At least, not compared with Obamacare. No doubt she envisions a likeness of herself cast in bronze, brandishing the big gavel. *spit*
She does not care about monuments , but she does care about portraits for her to remove. The woman needs to be removed and placed in a old folks home where she can help for her dementia along with Biden

If Trump loses the election (and I pray to God he won’t) it will be funny to watch the mob tear Pelosi and her kind to pieces. They will be the first ones the mob goes after because Pelosi has the power. It will be like watching a Frankenstien movie with the torch and pitchfork crowd at the gate.
Pelosi needs to make the trans-Atlantic voyage on a replica of the Columbus ships.
Then lets see what she thinks about who accomplished what.
