So would I. My guess is they would want reparations extended to them as well under an umbrella - people of color.
They would say reparations isn’t about slavery - it’s about how people of color have been discriminated against. That gets rid of the argument that the slaves are long dead. They will want reparations for everyone except whites.

How about a “Victims of Communism Reparations Act”? I’d make a bundle. Our family fortune was confiscated by the Soviets in 1945. Fortunately, my great grandfather got out alive, but he went from being very prosperous and successful to penury and essentially begging for a living.
Of course, with the all the inroads the communists are making in the USA, there’s no way they would see me as a victim.
