If I find a gif for ‘redundancy’ I’ll post it for you.
Meanwhile just read this thread. It isn’t a straw man. Many people want deportations. Others are confounding issues such as social welfare, identity theft (stolen SS numbers etc), jobs for Americans etc. I concede these are all intertwined in many ways and there is nothing wrong with improvement in those areas.
But distill away all the other stuff, what does it come down to? They broke the law. That’s it. They need to make amends for that crime. I think it’s perfectly reasonable to ask; and furthermore I think it will earn respect and trust in so doing.

That’s why we have ICE and already have the method for illegals to “make it right” ; they get the hell back to their own country where the belong. Follow the law and it’s taken care of. It’s only a problem when laws aren’t enforced.
No “what about the children” type purely emotional over the top hyperbole is needed (”We’re no different than China with the Uighurs!” Really? Oy.). That bizarre claim alone deserves a dozen Straw guys, all facepalming in unison.
We shouldn’t treat foreign criminals better tan we treat American criminals who have to take their punishment.
