Yes but who is confounding those issues? Build a wall. Protect the sanctity of the ballot box. Reform immigration laws. Enforce identity theft laws. These are all individual and separate choices to be made.
If the government can’t even figure out who is using duplicate SS numbers, or SS numbers of dead or long retired people then we’ve got a crap ton of other problems to deal with.
You can’t even get a city bus pass without some form of ID, but nobody protests that. They only protest voter ID.
None of those problems compels the federal government to further reward illegals.
This is a clear desperation play by Trump. He was complaining (correctly) last month about the SCOTUS ruling that he couldn’t end DACA - now he spins around 180 to do more than DACA (which is basically just a temp residency/work permit). Trump is now going to give them citizenship on top of that.
