I have teacher friends and family, but this looks like they want more paid time off

In the beginning of the shut down my kid had one twenty minute video conference a day. Later it was 1 day a week. No idea what the teachers were doing all day instead of teaching.

My daughter teaches high school.
The problem they had was too many students without internet access.
So they made themselves available on the intenet for question and answer sessions.
And they offered assignments to make up low grades.
But they basically locked in the grades as they were at the time of the shutdown. They didn’t pursue teaching additional material because of the student access problem.
