You do realize that when the schools were closed that the teachers were still teaching don’t you?
My children basically had half days of fake school (done by noon); the teachers didn’t get half pay (and our teachers make a ton of money).
If they weren’t being paid, they’d be clamoring to get back to their 180 days-per-year part-time jobs.
