That sounds harsh, but appropriate under the circumstances. From this, Chauvin seems like he was impatient with Floyd but was also trying to explain to him that relaxing a bit would allow him to breathe more easily.

no Chauvin should have been trained that one can still talk when suffocating. That is an integral part of restraint training.

With the Fentanyl and meth ‘cocktail’ in his system...it’s hard to see how Floyd could relax. Add in the fact that Floyd had Sickle Cell Anemia, and appears to have the beginning effects of Covid-19....all would have limited oxygen reaching his cells.
