How to Teach Americans to Hate Their Own Country -- And How Not To
Frontpage Magazine ^ | July 10, 2020 | Danusha V. Goska

In recent days, America has produced an astounding spectacle. Americans desecrated and demanded removal of their own statues to their own heroes, including African Americans who fought for the Union; Hans Christian Heg, a Norwegian immigrant and dedicated abolitionist who modeled courage and gave his life in the Civil War; Taduesz Kosciuszko, the Polish-born designer of West Point who left money in his will to purchase freedom for American slaves; the World War II Memorial to the men and women who actually did fight fascism; and the Emancipation Memorial, a monument paid for by freed slaves, dedicated in a speech by Frederick Douglass, and the first American monument to feature an African American. In Iran, mullahs gloated that Americans themselves were now chanting "Death to America."

Black Lives Matter proponents claimed, "It's just property, easily replaced." No one said "It's just property, easily replaced" when arsonists burned black churches, and no one would say that had vandals spray painted a pig and the f-word, not on a statue to Kosciuszko, but on the MLK monument. Clearly, the vandals knew that they were, piece by piece, no less than Chinese communists bulldozing Tibetan monasteries or Nazis dynamiting synagogues, engaging in acts of anti-American cultural genocide.

What inspired young Americans to go on this feverish rampage against the people who lived for, fought for, and died for the justice and equality that rioters claimed to support? Many blamed American education. I could relate.

I received the class textbook: Race, Class, and Gender in the United States by Paula S. Rothenberg. The book is "required reading at over 1,000 colleges." Rothenberg's "publisher estimates that her books have reached well over half a million students."

Long and horrifying. Another short excerpt:

"I was also gravely troubled by the vacuum into which its contents were to be injected. My students had not been prepared by grammar school, high school, or other college classes to assess the book's assertions. They lacked training in scholarly skills, and they lacked raw knowledge of basic facts. My students thought that the Atlantic Slave Trade was the only slave trade that had ever existed. They thought they knew everything about the Crusades, to wit: Christian Europeans during the Middle Ages decided to invade Muslim lands and force Muslims to become Christian. They believed that contemporary terror attacks, like 9-11, were somehow justified revenge for the Crusades."

Jimmy Carter pretty much initiated the disaster.

There is an old saying Lies get halfway around the world, while truth puts on it’s 👖 pants We are at the peak now , of a long 50 year cycle, that began when the communist infiltrated and took over our education system in the 1960s In the 1960s there was multiple race riots and a lot of turbulence much more than they need to be despite the Vietnam war and true racism and the Democratic Party and the KKK Right now the kids in the street millennials are in their 20s in among the dumbest and most ignorant to world or American history that could be imagined However , none of this could’ve happened without the parents of these children acquiescing to it You are responsible as a parent to make sure your children learn the right way of dealing in this world , and learn the value of our Savior and the Bible If you proclaim your self to be godless , you leave a necessary vacuum they can only be filled with evil There is only two bass in this world : good and evil Good and evil are laid out in the 10 Commandments there the immortal words are set in stone The constitution of the United States, written in 1787 derives the rights of the citizens of the United States from Almighty God. Most of the document serves to limit the power of the government to control suppress and or murder , its citizens So what we have is the children of 60s radicals who never learned the truth and their offspring. To deal with. In the end , because of the Internet and it’s incredible ability to yield knowledge to one - the truth will get out and will get out much faster For example BLM got their word out real fast and Rise to great heights of popularity but now a month later everybody’s had a chance to look at what they actually say. They’re morons who spout basic Marxist thought

It’s what happens when mobs of dumbshitz are led around and whipped into a frenzy by anti-American marxists, who were trained by anti-American marxist professors in the colleges. Why do you think all the colleges worked so hard to put aside academic readiness and admit as many under educated morons as they possibly could?

Those same tactics worked to destroy other countries too. See Soviet Russia and China for good examples.

The socialist leftists have taken most of the teaching positions in our American colleges and our public schools so our true history and moral values are no longer taught or respected. Most younger than the baby boom generation no longer know about the greatness and good America brought to the world.

Hating one’s country is a form of self-hatred. Pity those who do.

The stigmatization and vilification of US military personnel for participating in the Viet Nam conflict was very effective, as one who was there can state. Much of the Establishment who created the remarkable strategic incoherence of the war in effect ‘took a knee’ and were pretty much let off the hook. Uniformed service members were quilted as though they had served in the Nazi military on the eastern front. I kid you not, Bertrand Russell made a statement that was quoted over and over by the anti-war (sic) press that American actions in SEAsia were only equaled in atrocity by those perpetrated by Nazi's in SE Europe and Russia. This poison was very effective by virtue of there being effectively no counter narrative put up by the national government and the services. I can vouch for the attitude of general contempt for the military (not ideological just contempt) being visited on me within my own family.

The GOP will do now what it did then, hide. Melvin Laird, the Sec Def tried his best to make his porky form be invisible. The military were obviously told to SHUT UP. No one would really punch back at the rats and they controlled the narrative. Nixon seemed to be fine with trying to make the war invisible from 1969 to 71. No one even punched back really hard over the stolen valor expert John (who served in Viet Nam) Kerry and his constant virulent slander of rank and file US military personnel.

So forgive me if I have mixed feelings as to how much confrontation the left will have with their new narrative of national evil.

I have to wonder about parents’ part in all of this. My family watched plenty of ‘entertainment’ tv when I was growing up, but also stuff from National Geographic & PBS (which used to be better than it is today), & other documentary-type shows. I just can’t imagine my kid getting thru high school without an understanding of, not only our American history, but a basic knowledge of world history.

It’s beyond shocking to me!

Everything I read by her is exceedingly well-informed, and in luminously clear writing, always with a powerful conclusion.
