Dont fire them. Announce youve accepted their resignations and their unilateral cancellation of their prior contract.
The real problem with all these calls for firing or renegotiation calls is that everyone here doesnt seem to understand that those with the power to fire or renegotiate have no interest in doing so...they ALL agree wholeheartedly with the radical teachers...all the way up to the governor. In that very real sense the teachers unions make damned sure that they are negotiating with themselves, not with any counterpart that has a different agenda than their own. They do this by being the major money and work machine for the far left politicians in California, and nationally. And as only a smallIsh minority in California does not subscribe to their far left politics, there is no way to change that. Its an entirely rigged leftist system, and that appears to be the way California wants it.
Fire them all.
Depending how parents react this could be the final straw that breaks the giant camels back of the teachers unions
Parents that send their children to government schools should be charged with child abuse... Look what their children have done. And the parents walk away... Not their problem.
Have you ever met anybody from LA Unified School District?
I have, and yes, they are all very low information dumbasses and CERTIFIABLY INSANE.
No doubt. What gets me is what parent would be insane enough to send their kid to these schools today?
Probably well below the death toll of being shot in the street for you Nikes.
Close them down. We’ll be better off in the long run with private schools.
So, doesn’t all of this characterize public school teachers as ‘non-essential’?
I predict that in areas in which schools remain closed, testing results and academic proficiency will increase.
now my sister did get a major in math, I'll hand that to her....
“Can we just start redrawing the lines now? I dont want to live among sociopaths anymore.”
AMEN to THAT!
That is what I have maintained from early on. It can be a serious medical issue for a subset of people, but it isn’t like the Bubonic Plague which had a mortality rate of 30-50%.
It is foolish to treat it as such. And we have been fools to let them do it.
Schools will not open until Trump is out of office.
That is going to be a LOOOOOOONG time to keep the kids out of school!! Trump needs to give the Monet to kids to attend charter schools, find empty buildings and create charter schools!!
I think emigration is the better solution
Voluntary or otherwise
where is Alice Cooper when
we need him?
An illegal work stoppage should void their contract.
If that’s not written into CA contracts, taxpayers out there need their heads examined.
