Golden State Times had a live mic part of the time while waiting for the presser to start. Acosta stood up in front of the podium and spoke for quite a while. What he said will probably be most of CNN’s coverage anyway.
Actually, CNN probably won’t mention anything of substance at all. They will focus on Trump’s using the Rose Garden for a campaign speech.
The genius of it all is that to complain about it they have to mention the campaign items.

That press conference was not targeted at us, who already know Trump’s positions on almost everything. The target audience of that press conference were the people who have heard what Biden has stated as his positions and to show how different Trump’s positions are from Biden’s. The press listened to all of it, even if they were reading their phones,. They cannot say that they did not know that President Trump said the various things he talked about today.
The debates will be quite entertaining. Can’t wait.
