Move all Federal government functions outside the city limits and leave the buildings empty for 100 years.
Nice idea, but I believe there is a law (or at least was) requiring Federal buildings to be placed in or around city centers. I know that when our town’s Federal courthouse was replaced they opted to build it in a pretty crappy neighborhood. In fact, the shiny new courthouse is the only decent building for blocks around. Despite the hope that building it there would stimulate new growth, the area has declined further.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Civil War Two starts in the Pacific Northwest (specifically Portland and Seattle)

Trump needs to tell these mayors and governors if you want your cities burned that’s fine but federal property will be defended with deadly force and do it. Tell them we tried this method that you are trying now and it resulted in your ilk firing on Fort Sumter in 1861, I will not allow federal property to be seized by you, your rioters or to be destroyed by you.
