“What can I do today to hurt Americans of African Descent?”
The authors of this material seem to want to demean and hurt blacks by persuading them that success habits and attitudes aren’t for them. As if people like Colin Powell and Barack Obama got where they are without practicing those habits. (Yes, even Obama, as much as I disagree with his policies, practiced self discipline in his life to get ahead; he also has a nuclear family, which this Smithsonian propaganda clams isn’t for “blacks”)
The key to stability in life no matter what your race is four or five simple things that young people need to do to set their course.
1. At the very least, finish High School.
2. Do not have children out of wedlock.
3. Do not marry until you’re around 25 and have some financial stability.
4. Stay away from drugs and alcohol.
5. Do not become entangled with the criminal justice system.
And that’s really about it... there is an amount of responsibility that needs to be adhered to if one wants to make it to a point in life where one can raise a family successfully.
