Howdy, Kathy.

Hump Day! Any chance you can take a well-deserved breather tonight? You should make a run to DQ to 1) get out of the house for a few minutes and 2) get a yummy Blizzard!

Howdy, luvie.

Another scorcher there today? It was mighty toasty here and I had to get out in it this afternoon. UGH! It took a loooooong time to cool off after I got everything inside.

Good evening, mountainlion...is it still too hot? Any rain? painting done?

It’s 75 here right now...we need rain!! Lots of lightning fires. A plane was bringing smoke jumpers home when they spotted another fire. Timing was good!!

Glad it was a dead one, and not too much work to get ready for your stove.

it was. 106 today. Right now it’s 93 but “only” feels like 89. Actually there is a decent breeze out there. Tomorrow the high will be around 101. I’ll need a cardigan. LOL!

Sorry you had to get out in your blistering weather today. it does take forever to cool off. I have to take my car in for inspection [overdue since *ahem* April] and I’m glad it’s going to be a bit cooler. Hope it cools off there soon, too. I’m talking anything under 100. LOL. Including humidity “feel like” temps.

Hi Kathy, it's finally heating up here in the high desert, 90's+ expected for a while, thank goodness for A/C!

Just lazing around.

Well, that’s a couple of degrees cooler than yesterday. You’re on the right track. LOL!

I’d planned to make a quick Wal Mart run this evening but needed to pick up Bella’s asthma pills and can’t do that in the evening. So I did it all this afternoon. Now I can stay put for a few days because this heat wave isn’t going anywhere soon. I don’t care to get out in the heat if I can help it. Too much of a wuss. LOL

Good evening, radu...any rain in sight? Still blazing hot?

It’s 75 here right now! HOT!! Small chance of showers over night.

Hmmmmm....hadn’t thought of DQ. I might have to do that here shortly. I have to drive my car somewhere tonight. Sunday it was dead...I had driven it on Thursday, and forgot to drive it yesterday. Hope it starts.

I’ve become a wuss in this heat. And a crabby butt. LOL!

All a matter of perspective, I guess. We’d LOVE a blessedly cool 75 degree day here. LOL It does cool off into the 70s at night, at least.

Nothing but upper 90s ahead the next week with the heat index 100 to 106. Slight chances of rain here and there but most likely, we won’t get any. It’ll just keep the humidity up and make it miserable outside. Yuck.

There ya go! A nice little drive to juice up the battery AND juice up the taste buds. LOL I hope the car starts.

Yeah, it does tend to make one crabby. LOL
I was a bit short with the cats for a little while after getting home but all was well once I cooled off.

Speaking of cats, I haven’t seen Smokey for at least 4 days. If she’s still alive, I’d be shocked. But Ghost showed up tonight after about the same amount of time. He still has the booboo but it’s thinner, so hopefully healing. He won’t let me near him.

Drat. I hope Smokey has water available where ever she is and that she’s ok. She picked a bad time to pull another disappearing act.

Glad to hear Ghost’s booboo is shrinking a little. Too bad he’s not getting close enough for you to put a little more medicine on it.

A very pleasant good Thursday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country.

How's everyone doing this morning?

Well...I'm home again. The car was dead.

I have a handy dandy little starter that looks much like this, only pink camo. LOL!

5 minutes and I'm good to go. Directly to DQ...at least 15 cars in line. And DQ is the slowest place in town. Turned around and headed home, but stopped at Mickey Ds and only 8 cars in front of me...McFlurry in hand, I came home. A new battery seems a must...I'll work on it in the next few days.

I know the meds didn’t sting or hurt. It was just antibiotic ointment. He just doesn’t want ANY contact with a hooman.

I just don’t think poor Smokey made it through this horrible heat. She was already so fragile. I’m just thankful that I didn’t find her somewhere in the yard. That would have haunted me.
