I agree....this subject DOES deserve wide attention and action...for our kids, our families, our communities, etc.
What the left is/is trying to get away with....by shutting down schools, churches, gatherings....IOW, socializing!!...is criminal.
And, it’s all political, as Rush says.
It’s all about the teachers unions. They think that refusing to let the teachers go back to school, or imposing insane requirements to do so (face shields and masks, plastic barriers, not allowing children out of the room all day) gives them more power. Which it probably does.
And they keep their teachers, a gullible population, terrified. A young woman I know who has been teaching for about five years, and who I thought was fairly commonsensical in her approach to things, suddenly flipped out last week after the teachers union kept up a barrage of “they’re sending us to our deaths” messages.
This is beyond insane, has nothing to do with the children, and is entirely motivated by either political or financial interest.
In one sense, though, there IS an opportunity for parents here, with the school shutdown; if people are concerned what their children are being “taught” at public school... well, now you have them at home, right now, and have a chance to personally UNDUE a lot of the brainwashing.
For instance, you’re sitting there with your kid doing the online courses (or however they’re doing it); you see something in the course that you know is BS; you have a great opportunity to point out to your child that “this is what SOME people think, and it does not necessarily mean it’s true.”
IOW, you can teach your kid how to discern bullsh*t from fact, and think for themselves... which they’re sure as Hell not being taught in the Indoctrination Centers.
It could be a great opportunity to be seized upon.
