A Confederate flag banner was flown over the Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee on Wednesday ahead of NASCARs All-Star Race.
The banner flown over the Wednesday race also included the website SCV.org, a website operated by the organization The Sons of Confederate Veterans, USA Today reported. The organization also claimed credit for a banner showing the Confederate Flag that was flown over a race in Talladega, Fla. last month.
Bristol Herald Courier reporter Tim Dodson shared footage of the banner Wednesday.
NASCAR in June banned displays of the flag at all of its events and properties, saying that it runs contrary to our commitment to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all fans, our competitors and our industry.

Yeah, actual racing at high speeds in traffic is likely VERY exciting.
I’ve only done it once at relatively slow speeds. If we crashed, we had to pay so there was no rubbin’.
Gee, if you feel that way about about it stupid maybe you could get the same rush jumping off a f**king bridge.
Well, like I say, what ever floats your boat.
I remember when Popular Science magazine had a car maintenance section called, “Say, Smokey?”.
That was decades before they went totally globalist PC.
Love the nostalgia.
300hp is almost a benchmark now for
most new cars.
I live in NJ. On The Jersey Shore. We had a place called English Town in Monmouth County, just a few miles in from the coast. They used to do drag racing there. A few miles north of that, in Wall Township there was a family owned dirt track. They did dirt track racing and demo derbies.
It’s all gone now. They were family owned business. The Wall Twp. place was started by a WW2 vet when he came home from the war but he died years ago and his kids sold the land to a developer.
Well, generally not on compact cars, although the Civic Type R fills the bill as well as a few other performance-oriented vehicles.
And available even on jet skis. Pretty impressive power-to-weight ratio there. One HP for three pounds.
I never had the guts to get into auto racin- we did however dumb stuff drunk on 3 wheelers- reckless crazy stuff- jumps- high speed wheelies- rippin along turnpikes- etc- but that was before i had a brain- now drivers get ticked at me for goin so slow in a car lol- (Not really- but have slowed way down- )
The author of this piece is an idiot.
Talladega is in Alabama, not Florida.
But, what can one expect from “The Hill”?
What did they think would happen?
Can you explain watching golf?
I would wager more than one but not like the years before Mooooochele Odinga gave her vaulted Start your engines.
When the NASCAR PC aholes allowed this, I went click and never watched another race and all my caps went into the burn pile
Yep when old man Francs passed the reigns to his pos son, it has been nothing but in your face woke
Hell, Petty was probably helping push his car down pit row with all the other woke pukes.
A circle?
Where does that happen?
That race is racist! I mean it is a racist race! Oh...whatever.
The Confederate battle flag stands for slavery. Republicans need to stand for freedom.
Motor sports desperately needs a race circuit that does more than make left hand turns. We all can see what the emphasis on turning left has done to the management of NASCAR, as they now only seem capable of moving further and further to the left.
