If there winds up being a bill sent to Trump is looks like it won't be signed.

Yes he will. The payroll cut will be stripped out by Pelosi, but it would be suicide for DJT not to sign a COVID bill. But you know this.

“...but it would be suicide for DJT not to sign a COVID bill.”

No, it would be suicide TO sign it. This Covid Bill is going to be all of the things on the Democrat wish list - mainly, extending benefits to illegals.

President Trump is insisting on including a FICA cut as a poison pill, knowing the Democrats will refuse - he is already laying the groundwork for refusing to sign it - and it will WIN him votes.

You’re right. This is an election year, a critical election year at that. If the president vetoes whatever bipartisan bill reaches his desk, he could suffer a major loss of popular support. I hate to say it, but right now millions of people are hanging on for economic dear life. If nothing is done because of the omission of one item, this could sink him in November.

There’s unfortunately no alternative to some more ‘stimulus’ as well as some job strengthening legislation. A veto means absolutely nothing gets done. You’ll see a major crash in the stock market starting the day after, and then a very deep recession heading into election day.
Hello, Slow Joe and his radical leftist VP.
