I have friends who watch main stream news and they are completely indoctrinated. They believe that Trump won the election because of the Russians. They think Hillary is the smartest woman alive. They think Sarah Palin is the dumbest woman alive. And now they think that Trump doesn't believe the covid virus is real, that he suggested people should drink bleach to cure it, and that if he had only listened to Fauci then countless lives that were lost could have been saved.

And what's really frightening is that they always voted Republican up until around 2008. They are probably still registered as Republicans. The brainwashing has been slow and steady over many years.

If I could pin-point the exact time when I looked at them in total disbelief, it was in 2009 at the swearing in of Obama. Roberts did NOT screw that up (and I can't stand Roberts). Obama jumped over his words and basically got lost. It's on bloody camera for anyone to see! So a couple of weeks later when a saw these friends, I made a joke about it and the pushback I got was unbelievable! Oh noooooo! It was Roberts who screwed it up, they claimed. That was the very first time I noticed that they were only watching tv channels that repeated the lie that Roberts was the one who messed it up. And just like that, the lie became truth to them.

Well phrased. And accurate in general nationwide.

For the past 18 years, the more any person watches ABCNNBCBS, reads the dead tree media Troika of NYTimes-WashPo-LATimes, or cable news, the LESS informed they are, the more indoctrinated and biased they become.

Will the internet remain “accurate” as Google-Yahoo-Reddit-Wikipedia-Youtube-Quora fight FOR imposing their censorship and “political corruption”? We now ignore Snopes as counterfactual, discount Wikipedia, ignore MSNBC, .....

Once they start to believe the fake news they are immune to facts. I realized long ago that many dems “know” things such as Lincoln was a democrat and George Wallace was a republican and socialism is heaven on Earth. They believe anything as long as it is NOT true.
