Howdy, luvie.

It’s been a weekend. Too hot to even think of going anywhere. I did have a long email “chat” with my oldest cousin last night and another this afternoon and that was fun.

But it’s good now - - Smokey returned! WOOHOO! So glad to hear it! I hope she sticks around this evening so she can finish her food. She needs all you can get her to eat.

I was shocked that she was still alive to tell the truth. I will go out in a bit and see if she’s ready for some more food. I didn’t think she could get skinnier, but yep. Her little tail looks like a rat’s tail. LOL

I’m shocked too. Poor lil thing. I wonder if she’ll ever figure out that staying put is the best thing to do.

You’d think it would dawn on her. LOL! Wish I could bring her in, but Ginger isn’t a good hostess.

Yeah, it WOULD be nice if you could have her in the house for a while. Bad Ginger being a stinker about newbies.

She’s still got her nose out of joint over the Li’l Bit family. LOL! Grey tried to come in a bit ago and Ginger, who was sitting in the kitchen, made the smallest of sounds, and Grey hi-tailed it back out. LOL! She really wanted to be an only cat. :)

Poor Grey. Just wanted to escape the heat for a little while. mean Ginger. LOL

Some cats do prefer to be an “only child”. We have a few who would like that. They tend to stay to themselves where others pile up together.

They’re no different than people. Some are loners and some are more “social butterflies”. :-)

Most of the time I stay in my hobbit hole. Right now I must, because we’re having a big heat wave. I in fact may have to cancel some doctor appointments, to avoid going outdoors.

I can’t imagine Alaska getting into the upper 90s.

That’s very true about some loving company and some not.

Actually, it doesn’t feel too bad outside. It’s 85 with a nice breeze. I know it SOUNDS high, bu after what we’ve had, it’s nice. LOL!

A very pleasant good Monday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country.

How's everyone doing this morning?

Shoo, 85 with your low humidity and a nice breeze - - that must feel really good. Probably better than our soppy mid 70s.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

Is the weather still allowing you and Gizmo to head out yesterday or were you trapped inside with the A/C like we were?

It does feel good! I sat out in my patio chair for a while. Kept hoping that Smokey would show up again, but she didn’t. But there is plenty of dry food out there if she comes around and is hungry enough.

That soppy sounds icky. There ARE times when our dry air is the better choice. And it’s been a bit more humid than it was last week at 40%, so it’s a win/win.

Well the weather has been a bit more bearable the last few days. Here are some pics from yesterday at Comanche lake.

Guess I’d better go. I’m sleepy earlier tonight because I didn’t sleep well last night. Anticipating the alarm, I think. LOL!

See ya tomorrow! Hope it cools off so it’s pleasant. You’re due some nice days.
