" Shortly after the event, the chief issued a public apology and promised to remove the flag." Seriously? What a friggin' wussy. Way to stand up for what you believe there chief. You deserve to go. When will someone finally have the guts to tell the 'demanders' to go pound sand in their safe room. Disgusting.

...the chief issued a public apology and promised to remove the flag

That alone is reason he should resign. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Get a REAL chief in their with some balls who will defend the police. Screw the leftist bastards fomenting rebellion, destroying the USA, the rule of law, and law and order.

The bastard proves his paycheck is more important to him than principle.

Every policeman on the force should fly the Blue Lives Matter flag. Then the University will either have to back down or go the route of firing every police officer.

I really hope that WVU goes the second route, so that its unpoliced campus will be overrun with vandals and robbers. The same applies to communities who elect pro-Black Live Matter mayors who want to defund their police.

He should have said he would take it down as soon as all BLM posters and flags and all rainbow flags are down. USA and state flags only.

Perhaps fellow grovellers Brees and/or Villanueva will send him some “solidarity” jerseys.

Rose Casey in the West Virginia University Department of English thanked Chief Chedester and explained that “the Blue Lives Matter flag is associated with white supremacy.”
Thank you. The Blue Lives Matter flag is associated with white supremacy. Given the racism that the country is grappling with, which this talk was meant to address, UPD Chief Chedester’s apology is welcome. Let’s continue to be talk honestly about what we’re addressing: racism.

Yes, let's "continue to talk honestly about racism" as in:

Shortly after the event, the chief issued a public apology and promised to remove the flag.

Sissy! He's in charge of the police. If he doesn't have the guts to back his own men, I hope he will just resign.

When will people realize they are surrendering their 1st Amendment right to a mob? The whole premise is ridiculous. All lives matter. Saying that does not diminish any particular lives.

A police chief who flies a Blue Lives Matter flag should not apologize.

Sounds like there's a mighty task ahead of us. The feds need to investigate every one of these whining communists....profs and students alike.

We need to see if they are antiFA terrorists, and start rounding them up.

(It's probably already underway.)

I had to do mandatory diversity training today - again - and the thrust was that just having a diverse team isn't enough. We need to make people feel super duper welcomed and safe to do/say anything and we could do that by sharing all of our personal stories. I fought really, really hard to not say 'as a white male I do not feel welcomed and safe to say anything about myself besides name, rank, and serial number. If I said, god forbid, All lives matter or MAGA someone here would make it their mission in life to destroy me.'

Instead I said nothing and hoped nobody forced the issue by asking me to join the discussion. These things are immensely uncomfortable for a portion of the population and businesses know that, they just don't care. In fact, they keep making them worse and worse. It's only a matter of time before they force us to kiss a gay pride flag and swear fealty to BLM or explain to all our coworkers why we won't and let them decide our fates.

Where are the "Cops Demand University Professor Resign After Seeing 'Black Lives Matter' Flag At His Classroom" stories?

Especially if they are in state universities paid for by public funds?

All risk, no reward to showing video, whether from home or an office.

You continually see things caught in webcams yet people still use them in conference calls with mentally ill co-workers.

(You have mentally ill co-workers, even if you don't know it).
