How Have Our Scientific Experts Gotten So Much Wrong?

Masks don’t make a difference. Remember that? It was about two months ago. The consensus of scientific experts who must be obeyed unless one is a Trump-loving troglodyte assured us that there was no need to don a silly mask. Today, masks are the Holy Grail of stopping the virus. How did that happen? What do we know in July that we didn’t know in May? Why did other countries seem to know the supposed value of masks while we didn’t?

I’ll give you another one. On February 29, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Lord High Guru Of All Science, went on the “Today Show” and told Americans the virus was “low risk” and that we should not modify our behavior. Two weeks later we shut down the country and invited the most devastating economic collapse in generations. Again, how did that happen?

Well, virologists are still wearing pressurized suits instead of masks, so there’s that.

Being mostly intellectually lazy and morally corrupt leftists couldn’t have anything to do with it.

This is nothing new. History is filled with ignorant scientists. Why, over a century ago, the Wright Brothers, two bicycle building brothers from Ohio, accomplished what scientists said was impossible - powered flight by heavier than air aircraft.

The first test with scientists is determining who's paying them.

Don’t worry its Monday. Just smile. ;-)

Re-posted from earlier:

I am not a scientist by trade, but I had 30+ credits in laboratory science/engineering courses in engineering school. I have ignored every single report I‘ve read about COVID-19 statistics because I know damn well that they don’t remotely conform to even a bare minimal standard required for scientific inquiry.

Any medical (or other) professional who has ever stood up in a government briefing and made any public statement based on the bullsh!t statistics we've seen peddled all over the place should be permanently banished from the Trump administration.

COVID-19 "science" is no more scientific than "climate science."

Not to mention these “scientists” get paid by the RATs to reach certain conclusions.

A definition of science is “a branch of philosophy that seeks to validate subjective observation by the use of experimentation.” A definition of science is NOT “every word that proceeds from the mouth of a scientist.”

Because the ones who persist in being wrong are, always have been, and probably always will be, liars with a partisan agenda. Period.

Because they want to get of Trump and that is the bottom line.

As I see it that's half the bottom line the other half is money, lot's and lot's of money.

One of the things I keep coming back to is how one scientific study says one thing, and a different study says the opposite. For example, we have heard over the years that butter is bad for you. No wait, it’s not that bad, margarine is worse. Eggs and bacon, bad for you. Oh wait that’s good cholesterol in the eggs. It seems that evidence on both sides of these studies, but how can that be? I think it usually has to do with who is funding the study, number one. We find what we’re looking for because that’s what we want to find. This isn’t science, at least, not the way it’s supposed to be.

Because they are not scientists, they are employees, and ALL employees behave as their employers demand so that they keep their jobs.

More accurately, certain scientists serve as “court savants” to the Democrat party, or to certain Democrat officials like obama or the clintons!!!!

“consensus of scientific experts” is the most unscientific statement I’ve ever heard. Scientists don’t vote on something, they test and verify.

They’re wearing pressurized suits while working in a laboratory environment specifically designed for highly contagious and deadly diseases as part of a standard protocol.

They aren’t wearing pressurized suits when they go to the grocery store. But I’ll bet you a dollar to a donut they ARE wearing masks in that environment. Not because it makes them immune to anything, but because it REDUCES the risk in both directions.

Taiwan: 24M people, 7 deaths
Japan: 121M people, 1000 deaths
Singapore: 5.9M people, 12 deaths
All are using the same steroid treatment. There is something awry in our statistics here and I’m starting to wonder why.
