And yet he still managed to become a billionaire, have a long running hit TV show, and become 45th President of the United States, against insurmountable odds. Imagine how well hed have done with his life if only hed followed your advice, lol.
“Imagine how well hed have done with his life if only hed followed your advice, lol.”
I’m speaking to his job as president, not how well he performed (or not) in the real estate business and television programming, or his success running for political office. I am speaking to his appointments after his election to the office of president. Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, Attorney General, and Chief of the White House Staff are the most critical appointments a president makes. He failed with all and his administration struggled as a result.
Imagine how much better a job as president he would have done had he hired capable people. A different attorney general and there would have been no Mueller investigation to consume huge amounts of his and Congress’s time. A capable FBI director would have cleaned up the agency by now. A capable defense secretary would have ended the political correctness agenda, and fired the generals and admirals who put political correctness ahead of readiness.
Every person has 24 hours in a day, including the president of the United States. Capable leaders of organizations identify, attract and hire great subordinates to assure excellent execution of the programming supporting the mission which frees up the leader’s time for more important issues. Poor performing subordinates create distractions, consume inordinate amounts of the leader’s time, and slow progress. Even worse poor performing subordinates over time sap the leader’s credibility with core constituents. All of this has occurred in this administration.
