I think on Joe Rogan’s podcast with Bob Lazar who if nothing else is very interesting....
They talked about if we really did have alien air crafts of some kind why after all these years haven’t we been able to reverse engineer it....
The analogy was...think back to the founding of the USA in 1776, suppose we traveled back in time and gave the founders of this country a nice modern laptop computer...how long would it take using known technology in 1776 for scientists then to figure out what a modern laptop computer was and how to use it ??
Same thing for a modern Jet airplane, nuclear reactor, and endless other things we take for granted now that would be pure magic back then and that was only 250 years ago....think of technology that might be 1 million years more advanced that we currently know....
Mind boggling...
Reminds me of some fellows from Australia told me about the indigenous people. Used to be only the hereditary tribal chief had a stone ax and knew how to make fire.
Along come Europeans, hand the average aborigine a nice ax, and hey here’s a book of matches.
End of traditional tribal leadership.
The Navy people, airline captains, Air Force pilots, as well as people with PhDs in hard science seeing a lot of unexplainable objects flying at speeds currently unobtainable. Whether we actually have stuff is still up for discussion. Are there vehicles currently operating in our air space that is clearly not of human origin? Oh, yeah.

IF some alien craft crash-landed and we recovered it I doubt we could ever reverse engineer it.

I read a SF short story about a guy who had time-traveled back to Isaac Newton's time. He somehow had contrived to take along with him an electronic handheld calcualtor, an early LED type.
He wangled a meeting with Newton and showed him the calculator, thinking it would speed technological advance through the years. Newton saw the red LED characters and decided the thing was of the devil and our hero had to run for his life.

My last podcast of his was this one from 2 weeks ago: Joe Rogan Experience #1510 - George Knapp & Jeremy Corbell. Given where we are with this UFO stuff, this one is pretty mind-blowing.
