“Her mask doesnt appear to be covering her nose.”
The widely visible irony that escapes the ignorant, gullible masses.
Next time out, look closely at others’ masks.
Plain cloth? That’s like a cyclone fence to stop flies.
Gaps around the nose? That’s like a window screen with big holes in it.
N95 with exhaust port? Sends their unfiltered exhalations into the air.
Half of this country is now ignorant, emotion-driven adult children. God help us.

I still remember working with chemical contaminants, and how people handle masks would be totally not up to safety standards if there were airborne chemical hazards involved.

I wear a Japanese tenugui - essentially a long, wide bandana - when I go shopping. It doesnt stop the Mexican Beer Virus, but it does stop the heifers from bothering me. Sort of like DEET for Biden voters.

Plain cloth - how many people do you see wearing a bandanna or scarf? Gaps - anyone with a beard is going to have tons of airflow around the mask! Not to mention that none of the masks I've seen (except for maybe two people, but I bet their canisters were used up / expired) actually seal to the face and filter all of the airflow. But you missed a couple points:
What about decon / sanitation / disposal?
- People wearing masks are constantly touching them. That completely undoes any benefit the mask potentially may have given you.
- Holding damp exhalation all day means the mask is a breeding ground for bacteria. (And what about all the viri it filtered out? Those don't just disappear!)
- How many people are changing their mask for a fresh sanitary one every hour or so?
- Is anyone even disposing of their used masks in any kind of biohazard waste disposal? Or are some people just tossing them on the ground as they get into their car? Or re-using them next time?
- Why do people wear a mask when they're alone in their vehicle?
