Accumulating evidence supports ending isolation and precautions for persons with COVID-19 using a symptom-based strategy.
What about asymptomatic persons?
**********************************************************
In Florida, up to 80% of drive-through PCR “positive cases” are asymptomatic. According to the above article, recovered (not sick, not contagious) people can continue to show positive PCR for 12 WEEKS!
PCR tests for nucleic acid fragments.
They recover DNA from Egyptian mummies, for heaven's sake!
What distinguishes a ‘recovered’ person from an ‘asymptomatic’ person?
This article seems to undermine the argument that everyone should be wearing masks and socially distancing because ‘asymptomatic’ persons may be spreading the diseases. It seems to be saying that only symptomatic persons can be spreaders.
I'm in Florida as well. Trying to fight teachers union that refuses to go back to work. Do you have a source for the 80% of drive through positives in FL being asymptomatic?
That would be tremendously helpful. Thanks!
