My brother-in-law and his idiot wife are. Along with most of my wife’s cousins. We don’t talk politics with them, it’s masochistic to do so.
I see a lot of Black Lives Matter signs in white suburban neighborhoods in squidgy Iowa. It makes no sense, except Iowans are like Minnesotans... they want people to think they are nice.
My sympathies. Most of my extended family will vote democrat.
I have a cousin who was a conscientious objector during the Vietnam War. His son is an avowed democratic socialist. He lives in Oregon. I have no doubts he supported or participated in the Portland riots.
