As understod it’s not only Lampedusa, but the coasts of Sicily and southeastern Italy that are the target of an unprecedented wave of illegals coming via the “migrant express” from Libya. The western Tripoli coast, from where the illegals are launched, is now under the control of a government beholden to Turkey’s ‘Erdogan’, one of whose aims is to send as many Muslims to settle in Europe as possible.
This won’t end until they start sinking the boats.
