The Utah Republican, who went across the aisle to work with Democrats to pass the ADA about 30 years ago, wrote about the importance of securing the laws legacy for the next 30 years. This will require nurturing the partnership between business owners and persons with disabilities that helped lift the ADA across the finish line.

if given a choice between getting rid of ADA or getting tort reform (especially loser pays) I would pick tort reform any day

There’s a corner store a mile from here, with gas and good pizza. We were customers for years until my accident. No longer. I asked them politely about installing a ramp, but they dismissed the idea. We go elsewhere.
Conversely, there’s a restaurant and bar with live music across the street from the store. It has a ramp, low door threshold and a keen loo. We spend a lot of money there.
