Really? I know that there was a time when “British subjects” could travel...and settle...pretty freely to other “dominions”. But I thought that that’s past history.

Until January this year, British subjects could pretty much settle in any EU country like Poland for example. Not sure what situation is now that the UK is out of the EU.
As far as Australia and New Zealand plus the British dominions are concerned, I'd postulate that it'd be pretty straightforward to arrange a relocation from Britain to Australia of New Zealand. The Queen is still the titular head of state of Australia and New Zealand.
However I'd check on that if I were you.
Be that as it may, Tommy Robinson has already announced he is moving out of the UK, so he must have already found somewhere more tolerant to move to.
We will soon see.

Since about the 1940s when the dominions created separate citizenship status instead of autonomous nations sharing common citizenship as British subjects they started making it tougher.
Things might change when CANZUK gets off the ground. I dont think the dividing off of British subjects within these countries making it harder to move and settle within each other countries was ever due to popular demand things just drifted that way.
