Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has undergone a nonsurgical medical procedure in New York City and expects to be released from a hospital there by the end of the week, the Supreme Court said Wednesday night.

I was wondering why they “cleaned out” the stent earlier rather than replacing it. Maybe they wanted to clear up the infection first.

Maybe they’re gonna tranplant her brain into another younger body so she can stay on the court another 200 years. /s

She’s also got liver cancer. That is incurable and painful. I have to wonder what kind of pain medication she is on.
The bile stent is put in when the pancreatic cancer grows through the duct.
It is unbelievable that this woman is still alive. (clue very spooky music).

It’s easier and less money and less stress on the patient and because they can clean them out there is no need to replace them. In fact insurance prob forbids unless this step is taken first.
How is this non surgical?
When you step back from this and imagine a generic 87-year-old woman, who’s had several types of cancer (and the recurrence thereof) and now who’s been in and out of the hospital multiple times over the space of a month, you’d say it sounds like someone who’s in a rapidly accelerating downward spiral. But with RBG? Who knows? She always manages to bounce back. Almost miraculously and unnaturally so. It’s very possible, in my opinion, that supernatural forces are preserving her life.

Good point. I remember I was required to try other possibilities first before insurance approved a knee replacement.
My guess is that long ago Notorious RBG went down to the crossroads and made some sort of pact with the Devil.

Her insurance is not like yours and mine. The concept of controlling costs is not part of the package.
Word on the street is that she had to get her embalming fluid changed. That always perks her right up.
