A couple of moths ago I predicted that the MSM/left would try to promote that inhaling your own CO2 is somehow good for you. FYI, it’s not and never will be.

I wonder how well using an Oxygen mask like a fighter pilot uses would help.

Wearing a mask is safe.
The mask is far too porous to filter out virus and bacterial.
They will filter out bees, flys and such so you have no worries of inhaling insects, etc.

A mask is like a talisman, and object with fake mystical powers to ward off a fake virus pandemic

Best description I have heard is that the mask stops covid like a chain link fence stops mosquitos.

I avoid Marathon running for health reasons.
Anyhow, i would rather ride a bicycle, for health, and be able to get somewhere in a reasonable time. Plus pick up a few things at a store if i need to.
No aching bones.

They are safe for him anyway.

We don't know that. We know he survived to write an article. Can he show MRI scans of his heart and brain before and after his run? How did his time compare with other runs?

I usually do 5K daily and wore a gaiter mask over my mouth/nose when the weather was cooler. The very first hot day (90s) with the mask I felt light-headed with palpitations after I completed my 5K and felt unusual fatigue for the rest of the day. My time was terrible, also. I survived, but that didn't give me confidence in the practice.

My own anecdote.

If he ran 22 miles outside away from anyone else, the only thing this shows is that he’s an idiot...

The reason I wore a gaiter mask is because early on in the panic there were Karens posting pictures of walkers, joggers and bicyclists on the boardwalk who were not wearing masks.

I do several marathons a month, but not all on the same day. I appreciate the fact that he original marathoner, Pheidippides, collapsed and died after he completed it.

The picture of him shows him with a cloth rag strung between his ears. This is hardly a medically effective "respirator". This illustrates the entire ridiculousness of the so-called "mask" debate. Some masks are effective at some things, and some masks are effective at nothing, especially if they aren't used properly. Any story that simply groups ALL face coverings into a single group isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

Truly effective respirators force almost all of the breathing air to pass through the respirator media, and these can significantly restrict breathing. Even the vaunted N95 masks have a check valve that releases expelled air. This makes them totally ineffective at protecting others from users that are infected.

They can, however, ask you to leave, and if you don’t, they can call the cops on you for trespassing.

And every grocery store around me is making it mandatory because La Gobernadora has deemed it thus.

My doctor at the VA told me what a great thing that I don’t smoke. Why? Because smoking causes oxygen deprivation, which leads to things like spinal injuries. There are parts of the body that repair itself with oxygen, of which without proper oxygen going to those areas they don’t get fixed.

It doesn’t matter what the logic or facts are because people’s emotions are running high and they don’t care what facts are. I had a discussion with my sister last night, and tried to explain to her how these masks don’t work with holes on the side and the filtration properties of them. Never mind that I’m qualified by the department of energy to put put on PPE, she refused to acknowledge that I knew what I was talking about. She told me not wearing a mask is the equivalent of an abortion.

Maybe the best answer is we should all start wearing offensive masks and then maybe the masks can go away. I just purchased a pro trump, no step on snek, and a Qanon one just to see how many people I could piss off.
