Yeah, much speech already sounded like spoken with a mask on, really a joke now.
The big problem with the masks is not confusion:
1. They don’t work because they force the wearers to inhale and exhale around their edges. They are not military grade small particle masks.
2. And even if they worked, for most people, the disease is not serious enough to justify forcing everyone to wear one. This is not the Sanish flu or Ebola.
3. They make breathing more difficult, which is why we are seeing even young store clerks uncover their nostrils.
Nice try Christine Weerts(author) but the left doesn’t care. We’re talking about people who have no problem with people dying if they think it will damage Trump.
I went to my first appointment with my new dentist today. Masks came up and he said something interesting which I will paraphrase:
“I wear a mask every day all day and it’s no big deal. But when I go to the grocery store and have to put one on I hate it. I feel like a donkey’s ass. It’s stupid doesn’t do any good. Just WASH YOUR HANDS!”
etsy has all kinds of masks..including see through. entrepreneurs are coming up with all kinds of designs...including a scarf that has a face shield..and a hipster slouch hat with a face shield.Interestingly, some clever designs from at least three different long term vendors come from Sofia, Bulgaria. Suggests to me there is some kind of connection.
this clear mask doesnt help at a Drs office if he isnt using it.. HOWEVER, you can suggest the Drs office look into those type of masks

My mother is 95 and very similar to the woman described in the article. The isolation of being recently widowed and not being able to go to church or her literary club is difficult for her. Add to it communicating through a mask, being a non-native English speaker and increasing mobility issues, and her life has changed a great deal in a very short time. Fortunately she is able to navigate online, since her doctors now want her to communicate via telemedicine. She is determined to vote in person in November, but she worries that it might be banned for ‘safety reasons’. Our elderly citizens are really getting hammered physically and emotionally.
I am hard of hearing. My job would make it difficult to wear a hearing aid (high RF environments sometimes). This mask thing makes me feel so isolated. I didn’t realize how much I was depending on lip reading before. That’s gone now. And I can’t see any government putting an end to mask-wearing; it’s the perfect Marxist virtue-signal, and also it’s a punishment for freedom-loving people.
One advantage though is the lower volume and more muffled speech of Karen’s.
My elderly mom just had an abnormal CT of her lungs requiring extensive biopsies. scared us all as we were sure it was cancer. Thank God ot was not. It was an atypical infection or inflammation not sure exactly what yet. Caused or worsened by wearing a face diaper in florida heat and humidity? I think likely
I was deaf from the age of 5-7 until they performed an operation taking my tonsils out and putting tubes in my ears.
To this day, if you add too much ambient noise when I am talking to someone, I cannot hear them and revert to reading lips.
With the mask we are all repeating ourselves and it is driving me crazy.
I was in a sandwich shop last week and could not understand anyone while placing my order and it’s not a noisy place at all.

Yep it sucks. I can’t read lips so they pull down their masks so I can understand what they’re saying.
