I couldn’t agree more. News9.com has Oklahoma’s daily Covid-19 stats, and while the headline blares “800+ New Cases! 1,200 New Cases! 17 New Deaths! 10 New Deaths!”, etc., the body of the article invariably reveals that only 0, 1, or some other very low number of deaths actually occurred within the last 24 hours.
In other words, the big scary numbers in the screaming headlines are when the “new cases” and “new deaths” were REPORTED, not when they OCCURRED.
