The AP still can’t distinguish IMMIGRANT from ILLEGAL ALIEN.
LEGAL immigration is just as harmful as illegal immigration. We need to halt ALL immigration for 4 decades at least.
My first thought.....GWB left out a very important word...
“LEGAL”... immigrant. America has always welcomed those who want to come to our great country for good purposes and via legal paths.
It is even worse than that. The so called “LEGAL” immigrants are mostly relatives of other immigrants who sponsored them. There is ZERO requirement for skill, or wealth for the immigrant and the sponsoring immigrant is not even required to support the immigrant.
My sister sponsored our mother at age 70. Our mother was too old to work and had no money. Mother collected supplemental social security checks for decades until she passed away. Note that she never worked in US and therefore contributed no FICA tax or any other tax.
There are 15 million such senior immigrants in the country. No wonder social security is going broke.
