I don't enjoy being a grammar Nazi, but an editor should have caught this redundancy. You can say "more violent" or "increasingly violent," but "increasingly more violent" just doesn't sound right.

When I was stationed in Germany, the Polizei didn’t need clearance to get out their H&K submachineguns and loose a volley over the heads of rioters.

Just the sight of Polizei reaching into their car trunks was usually enough to quiet things down in a hurry.

The communists (antecedents to antifa) started it in Germany after WW1. Hitler rose in reaction to that and Weimar Republic which hugely sucked. Brown Shirts were mostly WW1 vets and hard men. The communists lost.

Breitbart London has reported on Antifa links to the terrorist Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the past in Germany. In 2018, Antifa extremists admitted to firebombing a Turkish mosque in Kassel linked to the far-right Turkish Grey Wolves, an enemy of the PKK.

Earlier this year, Hamburg constitutional Judge Cornelia Ganten-Lange was linked to both Antifa and the PKK, having given lectures at the Antifa “Rote Flora” squat on representing PKK terror group members.
