Per local NBC affiliate in Chicago looting still ongoing. Including shots fired. Police still don’t have a handle on it. Downtown shut down.
If we did away with tax deductiblilty for shrinkage losses, bet businesses would be far more likely to refuse to put up with this crap...
“Yeah - we're transporting a prisoner to 6th and he needs medical assistance. We need an ambulance to meet us there.”
“Roger - you need an ambulance. No resources available at this time. We'll let you know if anything becomes available.”
Be a shame if he bled out before an ambulance can get there.
CHICAGO (CBS)– Dozens of stores, banks and other businesses were broken into across downtown Chicago overnight.
“Illinois state police closed off the Ohio Street ramps coming into downtown” psssst the “rowdy teens” preferred method of transport to hunting grounds is the Red Line (mass transit) dropping the yoots off in the middle of State Street a short hop to Michigan Ave -
Maybe his folks can sue the looters?

Black Looters Matter.
It’s not just Groot. The city council, local prosecutors and judges, PD brass are all enabling this.
That’s RICO behavior. 10 years in federal prison sounds about right.
Where are these people’s dignity? MLK would stand up and speak about the need to change and everyone listened. He earned dignity and respect with his peace protests which brought about change. These looters are just tools of the commies and would soon be in slavery again if the commies get in power.
I would love to see a figure on just how much of the losses will be tax deductible.
Not only will the shrink be passed along in higher costs to consumers, but taxpayers will have to make up for tax revenue lost to the deductions.
BTW, the Best Buy hit in May was totally trashed this time.
But no big deal, eh, Best Buy? It’s not like you’ll have to eat the costs.
