CHICAGO — Widespread damage is reported in downtown Chicago after looting and rioting began around midnight.
Witnesses report hundreds of people smashing their way into stores throughout Michigan Avenue, areas in the South Loop and the near North Side.
WGN’s Judy Wang was on the scene early and reported seeing people filling trash bags with merchandise. She also saw crowd trashing the streets outside the stores and turning over garbage cans.
2nd Ward Alderman Brian Hopkins told WGN he witnessed people driving up in vehicles, smashing windows of stores on Michigan Avenue and grab items and drive away.

They are afraid to arrest anybody and can’t shoot anybody. In any event the only people in danger or prosecution would be...the police!
So they are only there for show and a paycheck.

A recent study by SmartAsset took a look at where well-off millennials are moving to and from. Specifically, they looked at individuals younger than age 35 with adjusted gross incomes of at least $100,000.
New York, Illinois and Massachusetts, in that order, were worst off for net loss of that group, they found. The study was based on IRS data between 2017 and 2018.
The three biggest winners were Washington, Colorado and Texas.

Dear Mr. Trump,
How would like like to pick up all the electoral votes in IL?
Simple: 10th mountain division setting securing perimeters around downtown and all shopping areas - with shoot-to-kill orders for curfew violators until there is a 30 day no-homicide limit. And bivouac at the Mayor’s office.
Oh, think that would make the President look bad? Frankly, it looks worse than that NOW.
