Today we keep hearing how the US hit the 5 million cases mark. I personally see that as positive news. It means that excluding those 150,000 who have died (mostly nursing homes), there are about five million people who tested positive who have not died.

It’s quite hard to believe that someone as ignorant as Kashkari could hold down any job at all, much less as a Fed president. It’s equally hard to believe that NPR reporters are just as ignorant.

A fourteen-day quarantine period is normally sufficient.

I’m in favor of hard lockdowns, but only for periods of up to 14 days.

People won’t stand to be cooped up for 60 days. Psychology is a well-established science.

The death rates per one million people are similar, but the US has a higher percentage of susceptible people.

The economy’s best hope is to drop this hoax.

I disagree. It is intuitive knowledge that NPR reporters are ignorant.

About 80% of US Covid deaths are of Democrats.

Joe Biden needs all the help he can get.

One of the most disingenuous things to come out of this has been to evaluate HCQ’s against already sick, and in some instances very sick, patients.

They would have published HCQ's 0% effectiveness rate on the dead if they thought they could get the MSM to report it with a straight face.

“Why would you lock down the whole country when 20% of the deaths were in NY and 50% of them were in 5 states?”

Because those 5 states won’t get a bailout unless the other states need one too.

From Wikipedia: Kashkari was born on July 30, 1973,[2] in Akron, Ohio, to Sheila Kashkari, a pathologist at Akron City Hospital, and Chaman Kashkari, a professor of electrical engineering at the University of Akron.[3][4] His parents are Hindu Kashmiri Pandits who were born and raised in Srinagar in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir[5] and immigrated to the United States in 1964. They settled in Stow,[3] a suburb of Akron, where Neel Kashkari grew up.[4] His parents were well known within the local community of Indian Hindus.[6] His older sister, Meera Kashkari Kelley,[7] is a physician specializing in infectious diseases.[8] Growing up, Neel's parents and sister were liberal, but his free-market views led him to identify more with the Republican Party.[7]

Kashkari attended Stow–Munroe Falls High School before transferring to the Western Reserve Academy.[9] He graduated in 1991 with honors in Mathematics and was elected graduation speaker.[4] In 2009, he described his high school grades as not good enough to apply to top-tier universities.[10]

Kashkari earned bachelor’s (1995) and master’s (1998) degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign.[11] He was the team leader for the mechanical engineering component of the school's entry in the 1997 Sunrayce, a solar-powered vehicle race.[4]

With Republicans like this, who needs enemies?

Entitled capitalism is socialism, the systems are not distinct, or, rather one is part of the other

“He and the other progressive social-engineers at the Federal reserve control the supply of money and interest rates“

The Fed determines how much your house payment is, how much your car payment is, and whether or not you have a job or not. I submit that this is full control. More than any president or any branch of the gov’t.

The very best thing we can do is end the Fed. We wonder why the fed would want lockdows? For the same reason they would want wars. It drives BORROWING, borrowing of money they create from thin air and charge the country interest on. The money changers.....

Stop the Fed Prez's salary and I bet he sings a different tune.

Our best chance is to maintain the social distancing strategy, wash our hands frequently, and be especially careful around those with compromised immune systems.

Our church reopened following this strategy. We wear masks while singing, sit together as family units (that live together), and have a streaming option for those with compromised immune system. Life must go on...

My wife and daughter are both teachers. Their schools are preparing to open following the department of health guidelines. There will be temperature checks at the door and if you have a fever, you return home. There will be frequent cleaning. There will be remote teaching as well, since social distancing won't work with all the students in the classrooms at the same time. This seems to follow the advice of President Theodore Roosevelt, Do the best you can with what you have and do it now.

Dropping/Rising.. we are doing fine. The whole deal with this number watching is screwball. At some level with an airborne pathogen, there is no hope of containing it. That point was passed months ago.

This Fed president needs a good replacing. Destroying the economy is not the way to fix it.

How many die each year due to poor fiscal policies from the Fed?

How many people will suffer medical issues for lack of financing due to meddling from the Fed?
