One of the big things that completely sold me on Trump when he was a candidate back in 2015 was he would appear at MAGA rallies that were growing bigger and bigger, his security was trusted but small, no one in power took him seriously, the media thought he was a joke and yet a few times there would be some crazed loon who would rush the stage where he was speaking from and his body guards would pull him down out of harm’s way, covering him until they saw all was clear.
And that’s the first I heard from a Trump campaign worker that Trump WORE A BULLET-PROOF VEST to all his rallies. And other workers and supporters couldn’t get over the fact that here’s this blue-collar billionaire who could be doing anything else in life, who was popular in Hollywood entertainment, in all the elite clubs and he decides to risk his life to be a leader of the American people. Let that sink in.
And when it sunk in with me, I couldn’t stop thinking this man is sacrificing his rich and peaceful life and risking his life to be our President.
I have never been able to get over those thoughts.
