Looting began overnight about 12:15 a.m. Monday August 10, 2020 as caravans of vehicles with honking horns entered downtown Chicago. Chicago police arrested about 100 looters and other suspects. Chicago police reported 13 police officers were injured. David Brown said the looting Sunday morning started as a result of misinformation following a police-involved shooting in the Englewood neighborhood. Chicago Police responded about 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 9, 2020 to a report of a person with a gun in the block of 5700 South Racine Avenue. When police attempted to stop a male that fit the description of the suspect, the male fled on foot. During the a foot pursuit, the fleeing man turned and fired at the officers. Police returned fire, and struck the 20 year-old male. Following the police-involved shooting, Supt. David Brown said a crowd started to gather on the South Side. Brown said tempers started to flare. Brown also said the Chicago Police Department then became aware of social media posts encouraging looting downtown.
To be fair, it was a mostly peaceful shooting.

This is the end of Chicago. Visitors and shoppers will no longer go to the Magnificent Mile due to unrest and criminality. Higher taxes have driven out shopping in the area and flash mobs are destroying the fun of going to Water Tower Place. Used to get a hotel with my wife downtown and spend the weekend dining and shopping. Haven’t bother to go there in years, Goodbye Shitcago.

That full timeline is scary. There were a LOT of looters and rioters involved. The call to send 400 officers downtown was like a guy peeing into the wind. A brisk wind.

Here’s some interesting intel for you.
The “protesters” showed up in multiple stolen cars with stolen trailers and stolen U-Haul trucks. Those trailers were full of rocks, bricks, and hammers. They targeted high end stores like Dior, Coach, Burberry, the Walgreens and CVS pharmacies, jewelry stores, and a Chase Bank Branch ATM was taken.
They coordinated using encrypted “social media” and a go signal was sent around midnight.
As of now there’s basically a gang war on the west side. Some of the bridges are up again but the cops don’t know which ones and the dispatchers won’t tell them over unencrypted radios.
It’s a complete shit show and the only thing that slowed it down was the storm that tore through about 4:30 this afternoon. Some parts of the north side are without power.
Gonna be a fun night in Chi-Town tonight.

As I've said before, police snipers! If not them, civilian snipers! Hide, target, kill, escape as all snipers are trained.
I'm sure many on this site would have the training. A few dead rioters would bring this daily nonsense to an end. Step up guys, you know what it would take. Coordinate your efforts on a hack proof site, organize and engage. I'm 70 year old Aviation Navy so don't have such skills. However, I could take point to direct their fire down on the street if in my area.
