Perhaps Senators Rand Paul and Ben Sasse can get together and explain to the American public exactly how they would do a better job than our President.

Until that time, Republican Senators should just STFU when they disagree with our President.

I still haven’t seen anyone make a compelling case to document exactly where the President’s EO was unconstitutional. Ive already determined that the payroll tax deferment was perfectly valid, and my understanding with the unemployment extension is that Congress had already appropriated that money anyway.

I will check back with you guys in 8 months to see what you have to say about President Biden’s executive orders.

If Trump truly believes he has the authority to rule be decree (like Cuomo) why doesn’t he issue some EOs to cut some government spending?

He’s a big-government guy. Not a conservative and barely a Republican

Frankly, when I read comments like this I think “not a Republican” Trump should just pack his bags and head to a Florida retirement. He has every right to leave the GOP of McConnell, Romney, Liz Cheney and bunch of ungrateful GOP voters in the rear view mirror.

Donald Trump has done far more than any POTUS since Reagan to advance the conservative agenda. Sadly, it seems many hen-pecking armchair “conservatives” will never understand that.

And I am not a fan of Congress.

Agree. One of the great lessons of the Age of Trump is never to vote for a U. S. Senator for POTUS. What a useless and self seving bunch.

Which is why he’ll never be president...

He can’t fight the leftist scum from drowning our liberty in acid.

These f’n political hacks are quick to criticize in order to gain favor with the MSM, yet they never offer any solutions. Rand, take a hike!

And yet, still so much better of a choice for President than Hillary or Joe or Barack or Michelle or Bill or Al or...

Well Rand, what would you do, genius?

He's screwing up his courage to issue a scathing "tut-tut".

Well maybe if the Republicans got off their lobbyist-funded cushy pillows and fought, the executive orders wouldn’t be necessary.

Hi Rand,

Don’t like it? The solution is simple: do your damned job!

Sincerely,

The American People

Well Rand is just being Rand and that’s Ok. I don’t love it but Trump has no choice. He cannot continue to let Pelosi and company blackmail the country.

I’m not a fan either, but Congress has become completely dysfunctional and Trump really has no other choice.

I’m not a fan of legislating through executive orders either. But Obama did it and John Roberts supported him. Conservatives and libertarians need to wise up - we can either play the game by the prevailing rules, or we can lose the game by trying to stick to obsolete rules the other side completely ignores.

Rand is consistent. He is not in favor of executive orders issued by presidents of either party. Personally, I agree with him. We have a legislature for a reason. Executive orders tend to be over broad in their application, and they short-circuit the political process.
