Our “modern medicines” are often nothing else but snakeoil. Try finding a real cure for diabetes or peripheral neuropathy,Big Pharma could probably invent a cure, but it is more profitable to sell snakeoil and claim its medical proficiency.
Just learn to live with bubonic plague like our ancestors did. Bury your dead is the advice.

I was at Philmont Scout Ranch in 1960, when several cases of bubonic/pnuemonic plague broke out from infected rodents and fleas. Rabbits and groundhogs also carry it. It’s been that way in the desert for eons.
We shot scores with our .22s and burned them to a cinder with gas cans, after several Drs autopsied some of them. It was bubonic. We were all locked-down for 2 weeks. The article is incomplete and misleading.

I agree . . .he certainly comes up with the “doom and gloom” but then God’s watchmen/prophets were all about it. Just another sign of the times that we need to be reminded of. Some people maybe most don’t have a clue what is going on.

A couple of years ago the “granddaddy of antibiotics” Johnson and Johnson’s Levaquin (also sold under several other names) caused me to experience a tendon tear. I had a bamboo splinter surgically removed frin my thumb (not detectable by sight or X-ray) The medicine was prescribed after surgery. I thought I was having a heart attack. . . instead of calling 911 I certainly believe God had me go to the computer and type in my symptoms using my other arm. There it was big as life . . .Levaquin reaction. I was sent to another physician and leading up to the doctor the two I saw. . .one the nurse and the other the physical therapist to measure range of motion poo pooed my diagnosis . . .the nurse said, “you can find anything on the internet”, the next guy was just as bad. I had the documentation with me. The doctor didn’t say a word . . . which spoke volumes. Let this be a warning to everyone . . . check out the side affects before taking anything. I am praising the Lord that I didn’t call 911. . .my life would never be the same .. .they wouldn’t have even checked on the Levaquin side affects in the emergency room.

Yes you can die from it but it responds well to a variety of antibiotics.

Here on the eastern plains of Colorado, plague pops up occasionally in prairie dog colonies. Carried by the fleas that they carry. When it happens, people are kept away from the colonies until the prairie dogs can be disinfected. This story seems like typical media hype.
New Mexico has a tremendous resource of prairie dogs which is a reservoir of the disease and NM gets a couple of cases every year. It is not a big deal. It is treatable with antibiotics. It is not a Plague in New Mexico. In China, one never knows but maybe it is another weapon and they are working on an antibiotic resistant variety for export, or one that spreads through the air such as the pneumonic variety that was a small part of the ancient world’s bouts with Bubonic Plague. The best way to test that is on the population.
