1:29 Former Vice President Joe Biden appeared to have a script before him during a video call via Zoom with Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), who was selected by his campaign to be his running mate on Tuesday. One America Newss Jack Posobiec made the observation on Twitter while sharing a photo released by Adam Schultz, the photographer for Bidens presidential campaign.
Schultz photographed Biden during a video call with Harris, describing the image as capturing the moment Biden advised Harris of her selection. [Joe Biden] picks [Kamala Harris] for VP at his home in Delaware today over zoom, he wrote on his Instagram post.

With an upside down phone...this guy is clueless.
Reading from a script isn’t a big deal. I think he did a good job of not reading her lines.
Yeah a are you sh!tting me? In the reading would have looked odd coming from old Joe. :)
It would have been Aw, cmon man, you shitting me?
Heh. As would his acceptance of the offer.
Yep a yeah, well ok. Hold my sign would have been embarrassing too.
Biden: So proud to have Kamala chosen for me, or if I have chosen her, as the next Vice Precinct, next Presidential of the, of the, uh the United, uh United States.
And like Trump says so often, what do I want with a prepared speech when you folks like so much to hear me talk directly and honestly off the cuff, right? I’m gonna do that, too. Right now.....
Hey! My mic got cut off. The power to my mic is dead....
She should not be eligible.
Excerpt from wiki: Kamala Harris was born on October 20, 1964, in Oakland, California. Her mother, Shyamala Gopalan had emigrated from India in 1960. Her father, Donald Harris emigrated from British Jamaica in 1961
Its an honor to run with Pamela Anderson, I mean Carmen Miranda. Wait. Someones talking in my ear. Kamela? That cant be right.
Reading from a script isnt a big deal. I think he did a good job of not reading her lines.
Ha. Well played.
This looked pretty pathetic.
The upside down cellphone is not a tell. On most cells, the microphone and camera are at the top, speakers on the bottom. Holding the camera upside down just places the microphone closer to him so it will pick up his voice better.
Even having a printed out copy of the announcemenft is not that big a deal. Well, the announcement of the VP choice for the ticket is actually sort of a big deal. So writing down what you are going to say makes sense, too.
I didn’t watch the announcement and very likely never will as I cannot stand looking at the man or his political party.
So, did the old geezer speak smoothly and with a normal rhythm or was it obvious he was reading the statement one word/phrase at a time and struggling to get through it? More importantly, did he stay on line after the announcement and speak extemporaneously to Ms. Harris or did they cut away without him speaking again?
"Hello, Kammie? Joe here! How are you? At this point, Joe, pause dramatically, and smile a big smile." |
He can read?
I seriously doubt Joe Biden, at age 77, has the technological savvy to know this.
That looks to be an iPhone. If so, the speaker and mic are on the bottom of the phone, not the top.
Who uses a phone mic and speaker when you are having a Zoom meeting on your computer? You normally use the computer built-in microphone and camera.
Does Zoom support a phone as a peripheral device?
