Well, that happened. To the surprise of a very few, Joe Biden chose Sen. Kamala Harris as his running mate. Our very own VodkaPundit called it back in May. I had been on the Harris veep wagon for a very long time but shifted in recent weeks to Susan Rice because I thought that would help Biden get the Obamas a little more enthusiastic about him.
All the while, however, I kept hoping aloud that it would be Harris because — for reasons I’ll go over in this column — I thought that would be the choice that most benefits President Trump.
Seriously, people, I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited about a VP pick for a ticket, and it’s not even my party’s ticket.
Baggage, for starters. Enough baggage to fill a fleet of 747s. Tyler goes over much of it here and here.
Harris has been a, shall we say, problematic candidate from the get-go. Her tenures as both the district attorney in San Francisco and the attorney general of California left a lot to be desired. I wrote in a post early last year speculating that she may be her own toughest obstacle because of this:
Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) is not only running against an ever-growing field of fellow Democrats for the 2020 presidential election, but also against what may prove to be a couple of far more formidable opponents: her own records as the district attorney of San Francisco and later the attorney general of California.
What’s problematic for Harris is that the people who have the most problems with her records are the very progressives she seeks to secure as her base.

Three Nationality Harris was always Obama’s choice.
Her ineligibility lends credibility to his own usurpation.
When Willie Brown was asked what her position was, he said “Read the Kama Suthra.”
The snarky, nasty way she acted during the Kavanaugh hearings told us all we need to know about her. I think that left a bad taste in many mouths. Politics is just an ego trip for her.

I have been worried that the media will successfully promote her as a “moderate” and the left will be energized because she is a leftist and a woman-minority.

I nearly spit my coffee out when my AP propaganda update actually said Biden picked Harris because he wanted to “pick Biden” as in Harris IS Biden/Biden IS Harris LMFAO. I don’t even know WTF that means.
She and Soros-butt-kiss acted like petulant children not getting their way during the Kavanaugh debacle. Maybe why neither gained traction in their Presidential bids. But all that was a lifetime ago in politics and counting on the average voter to 1) have witnessed any of that, 2) remember any of that and 3) not fall prey to the media’s TDS is a tall order.

Kamala Harris is BAD NEWS all around! I hope that she sinks the Dim ticket, and gives Trump at least a 49-state victory!!!!
Where were they during the primaries? The message seems to be typical DEM, so what if you didn’t vote for her, we know what’s better for you.
Her own words will be pretty effective in the tv ads, no worries about the fake moderate label
It’s funny how some in the main stream media insist that Harris would help Biden convince voters that Biden would remain a centrist despite the Democrat party lurching to the left. All voters have to do is to rewatch the early Democrat primary debates and study how Harris lectures Biden that Biden isn’t liberal enough (Federal mandatory busing for schools).
The mass media promoted Joseph Stalin as Uncle Joe.
A significant number of Sanders voters hate Harris, and the mass media won’t be able to fix that.
I think a disadvantage she has is that many Americans have had enough for now of blacks in our highest positions and also of the media-driven attempt to bash whites and prop up blacks.
Her dad, Donald Harris, brags about being a descendant of one of Jamaica’s biggest slave owners. Her mom, Shyamala Gopalan, is a Brahmin in India’s rigid caste system. IOW, her people are the oppressors.
And it showed in her draconian, oppressive prosecutorial record as a DA and as California Attorney General.
It's not geographical, it's cultural.
One of the Dem party's main constituencies is bitter, angry, childless career women.
