Interesting that the two great “African-Americans” chosen to lead Democrats are both half black and neither half (Kenya, Jamaica) had anything to do with American blacks.

Kamala is much less than half "black"--her father may have had more white than black ancestry in Jamaica.

She would be the first Vice President with no American ancestors. Spiro Agnew's father was a Greek immigrant but his mother had many generations of American ancestry with ancestors in colonial Virginia and Plymouth Colony. Chester Alan Arthur's father was an immigrant. Besides that, Kamala spent a good part of her youth in Montreal.

Kamala is not half-black. She’s half-East Indian. Her father is descended from an Irish immigrant to Jamaica and is “whiter” in skin color than Kamala.
