Federal agents in Bend, Ore., clashed with hundreds of protesters late Wednesday night after an hourslong standoff sparked by the arrest of two men by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers, who said they were a "threat to the public."
Bend's episode, which is about a three-hour drive from Portland, was the latest in tensions among protesters, local police and federal agents.The protest spanned hours, as two unmarked ICE buses were blocked by protesters who apparently witnessed the arrests.
Shortly before midnight, federal agents removed the two detained men from a bus and left the scene. The protesters also dispersed, according to an Oregon Public Broadcasting reporter.

Several protesters were seen attempting to slash the tires on one of the buses while other protesters wrote “ICE” on the side of the trucks. The buses, which are privately owned by GEO Transport, which “provide armed, secure transportation services to federal, state and local government agencies in the United States and internationally,” according to their website.

Oregon is a sanctuary state so the local police did nothing to support Federal Agents. The Hotel owner called police to have the crowd removed for trespassing on private property and the police chief refused to take action and instead supported the protestors. A Bend City council women parked her vehicle in front of the buses and the local District Attorney also showed up in support of the protestors. They blocked the ICE contract buses for more than 12 hours from leaving, until Federal Agents arrived to remove the two detained people from the buses that were arrested and had criminal warrants.
These are not “activists”. They are terrorists, they are insurrectionists, they are communist revolutionaries, they are bolsheviks, they are rebels. Not “activists”. Words matter and mean things.

Hundreds of protestors? In Bend? Should have checked the crowd for green cards. This is harvest season, I think.
As for the vehicle blocking the bus, seize it and sell it at auction.
If these people want to support illegal aliens, let them surrender their birth certificate, driver's license etc. and swap places with them from wherever they're from.

They are kidnappers as they prevented the private citizens the operate the contract busses from leaving. The Police Chief was new and on the job for just a few days and did nothing to protect private property and encouraged the protestors. A U.S. Customs and Border patrol plane out of Washington State flew overhead for 6 hours before federal Agents arrived in force to secure the busses. The terrorists were insisting the illegal criminal in custody be removed before they wold let the buses go. Terrorists is the correct word and kidnappers. The bus drivers are not federal agents, but are private citizens.

The hotel owner pays taxes...for what? I’m hoping he takes legal action against the police chief and the city.
They are not really buses but are large vans. There were two persons in custody in the front van and the rear van was empty, but the crowd did not know that. There could have been many others being transported in the vans.
The hotel owner should sue the City of Bend. The Mayor asked the protestors to leave, but she did not force the Police from taking action. the Police Chief said he was following Oregon state law and could not be involved with immigration activity. He ignored the legal rights of the property owner.
Why couldn’t Federal agents have arrested the Sheriff and the city council member on Federal charges?
Make that police chief not Sheriff.
