I did stupid shit like start a fist fight, swear, skipped school, and maybe had a beer. In retrospect, skipping school was a good thing since public schools are trash.
Not once did it cross my mind to get a camcorder and shoot porn with a girlfriend though. Not once. I was never into blackmail too.
Some kinds of stupid shit are just that ... stupid shit. Some kinds of stuff is indicative of a genuine mental/psychological problems. Scum like that seem to be attracted to politics since they seem to get off on controlling people. I have no doubt this “kid” falls into that scum category.

Easy to say. Kids sleep with their phones now. We didn’t.
I wouldn’t automatically write off a kid as “scum” for doing this as a middle schooler. It’s not forgivable at 19 but he’s got plenty of time to atone and live a respectable life. He certainly isn’t worthy of elected office at this time, though.
