Hawaiis visitor industry braces for another pre-arrivals testing delay
A pre-arrivals testing program would allow travelers who have taken an approved COVID-19 test within 72 hours of traveling to Hawaii to bypass a mandatory 14-day self-quarantine for out-of-state passengers. Last month, Gov. David Ige postponed it from Aug. 1 to at least Sept. 1.
Today, the news is reporting that health officials are saying:
“NO TESTS for persons NOT showing any symptoms...”.
So- IF I want to go to Hawaii, & I have NO symptoms, I CAN NOT get tested.
Then, 72 hours doesn’t work, either because test results are taking as much as 3 weeks.
Seems NO ONE is on the same page for ANY of this mess.
