Despite positive coverage of the Biden-Harris rollout from the mainstream media, the Democratic candidates are now facing backlash for not taking questions from the press.
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris held the first joint virtual campaign event on Thursday since the California senator officially made her debut as the former VP's running mate the day prior. However, reporters who were present at the event were eventually shooed away by campaign staffers.
Journalists and commentators on both sides of the aisle offered a rare, unified condemnation of the candidates evading questions going into their second day as a ticket.
"To be expected for the roll-out. But this is not a show of confidence on day two," New York Times political correspondent Jonathan Martin reacted.

The press is miffed because they couldn’t throw softballs?
You know for a fact that Basementman and Willie’s mistress would get only tossed a few softballs, and yet they are afraid to even do that. Cowardly worms.
What is wrong with these reporters? Now that Harris is on the ticket, criticizing any aspect of the Biden campaign is racist.
Everybody knows that.
This is like a bad nightmare. Also a very surreal one. If we win the nightmare goes away.
that won’t change the fact that they ran a man with dementia for president. Or a few other crazy things going on in my country right now. Like cities burning and seven-year-olds deciding what sex they want to be and men marrying men and other pure insanity.
and we have gotten so used to murder in this country that I didn’t even include abortion.
That’s been legalized murder for almost 50 years now and though some of the other things took a long time coming, after that it was downhill for morality.
I am no saint by any stretch of the imagination but as I get older I try to not just ask forgiveness but to stop committing those sins.
One sin I might not be able to explain away is why I wasn’t blocking an abortion clinic every day. Or giving my life to stop it.
Jesus did say give to Caesar what is Caesar’s but he did not mean murder.
He knew we had to live in this world and to some extent would have to be a part of it.
He was talking more like taxes and laws and not slaughtering children.

This makes you wonder, if that campaign roll out is going to be a template for the campaign, in which they will spew forth their talking points, then rush Joe into hiding again, without taking questions from the media.
And also,hoping nobody notices what they are trying to do.

Apparently it was just announced that President Trump will have a campaign stop in Biden’s hometown of Scranton, PA on the day Biden is formally nominated. It doesn’t get any more “in-your-face” than that ... unless Trump shows up for an unannounced speech right outside the Democratic convention in Milwaukee that evening. LOL.
Now it means we can't discriminate against (i.e., criticize) a person OF a certain race.
Kamala tells us she is a member of a protected race.
Ergo, no criticism please. That would be racist.
There’s a lot going on. Add this, for CA: we are now in a record heat wave, with power outages planned. Seniors used to be able to head to libraries etc. for cooling relief—all closed due to the pandemic.
Moreover, 97% of kids in this state have now started “remote learning” which needs power, and many in CA are working from home as well—needing power.
I bought a generator, but it’s like all of life—together with the issues you mentioned—is cancelled, slowing, grinding to a stop. Maybe God is trying to tell us something.
My guess is that soon Biden will take questions from the Press and they will get exposed for having canned answers to canned questions when Biden gets befuddled.
Everything out of these two-faced hypocrites mouths are lies anyway. There’s no way a campaign like this could possibly win without massive fraud, cheating and ballot harvesting. So that’s exactly what they’re focused on. It’s the entire democrat establishment behind it too, and that’s just disgusting.
Biden won’t say a word unless it’s on the teleprompter right in front of him and he even messes that up.
