This.
Remember the old days of the PTA?
Anybody who is paying $5,000 or more in real estate taxes that go straight to these teachers needs to turn off the computer and home school.
But to many teachers, it is more like this:
“Before that, they are children to be guided by their teachers first, and (only with a teacher's explicit permission and absolute surveillance) by their parents second.”

Yes...my mother was active Like everything else, the focus shifted left.

And people move here to TN for our superior schools in middle TN counties around Nashville.
Always thought that to be crock. Looks like RCS got infected with the libe4al pandemic. Probably Nashville leftist getting out of Davidson County.
What bothers me is the parents' involvement in OTHER kids' educations.
Two words to RCS, “Bite me”
“Cameras in every classroom, streaming every moment, so parents (with password access) can monitor whats going on.”
Showing the teacher’s place in the room, video screen and whiteboard (but not students), with audio.
Way past time for this. Paging Betsy DeVos....
“The very idea that parents are admonished not to watch their kids classes is an outrage.”
Not admonished; they must sign an agreement. A legal device with penalties, I’m sure. “Karen, is your mom or dad looking or listening now?”
The leftists have dropped their masks. They’re confident they now have unassailable control over us (from all the masks and empty businesses they see).
Our pubic schools have gone 1984 since 1984; this issue is in their genes now...

Is School Surveillance Going Too Far? Privacy Leaders Urge a Slow Down
“Way past time for this. Paging Betsy DeVos....”
This isn’t a crazy idea. Seriously - this would be a huge and wonderful unintended consequence of the Covid nonsense the RATs threw at us. Another huge and wonderful one is that a large number of kids wil be homeschooled forevermore.
NEA, etc., wanted to shut down schools. They should be careful what they wish for.
I guess the way to contact DeVos would be via email or snail mail if you don’t do Twitter or FB. A movement for cameras in all classrooms should be started. Now. I’d think that even RAT parents wouldn’t be against this.
“Remember the old days of the PTA?”
Long gone. They’re an arm of the NEA...
National PTA Positions Make Parent Involvement Useless
https://www.texaspolicy.com/national-pta-positions-make-parent-involvement-useless/
Well. That was an eye-opener. I always assumed the PTA was strictly a local organization with no interest in national or regional issues. So I continue to learn, at 64.
The money quote is here:
“If the local affiliates continue to follow their National PTA prescriptions, few alternatives remain to parents who wish to be effective. Disaffiliation with the National PTA may be a viable option for parents hoping to increase student academic performance and participate in meaningful ways to benefit students.”
Why would a local PTA follow national prescriptions? As a parent I certainly wouldn’t. I’d seek solutions to local problems only.
People have no manners.
Which is, btw, another reason to NOT trust the schools when they say they dont want to be watched. Leftists have got no manners either. Frankly I do not trust why they say they dont want to be watched ... good sounding excuses and reasons are sometimes hard to distinguish from each other.
Heck, unlike Reagan I would admonish dont trust even when you can verify.
Bad things happen, thats just the way of things, and theres no sense building your society around avoiding even the possibility that they will ... especially when it likely means worse things (indoctrination) will continue to happen unchallenged.
That is a very accurate term to describe what is going on.
I’ll have to remember that one.
I'd be inclined to scribble "Eff you" on the signature line, but that could come back to bite me.
HUH? Tell me why!
Well, if its for the children then it must be okay.
