Delta bans Navy SEAL who killed Bin Laden after mask-less selfie

Delta Air Lines said Thursday that it has banned retired U.S. Navy SEAL Robert O’Neill, the man credited with killing Osama Bin Laden, for allegedly failing to wear a mask during a recent flight.

O’Neill, 44, tweeted that he had been banned from the airline “for posting a picture.” Earlier this week, O’Neill posted a now-deleted mask-less selfie while sitting on a Delta plane, with the caption, "I'm not a [expletive]."

“Part of every customer’s commitment prior to traveling on Delta is the requirement to acknowledge our updated travel policies, which includes wearing a mask,” a Delta spokesman told FOX Business. “Failure to comply with our mask-wearing mandate can result in losing the ability to fly Delta in the future.”

O’Neill said the picture was a joke and that he had his mask in his lap when it was taken. He criticized Delta in response to the ban, writing, “Thank God it wasn’t @Delta flying us in when we killed Bin Laden."

It’s hard to tell where government ends and corporations begin. Same in the other direction.

I was in Panara Bread recently without a mask and was told by the cashier I needed to have a mask on to order. But after getting my coffee I could sit down and take the mask off to drink it. I said I don’t wear masks. She said I had to step outside and use the Panara phone app to order. I told her BS. I was stepping outside and going next door to Village Inn where a mask wasn’t needed. They have their rules and I have mine.

I am shocked at how many people think that the mask is a critical medical appliance.

‘It’s hard to tell where government ends and corporations begin. Same in the other direction.’

That is what I think the Fascist political movement tried to achieve. That is, implement gov’t policy through the most effective market mechanism - the corporation. Mussolini recognized the efficiency of the capitalist market and wanted to use it to his authoritarian benefit.

When I visit Walmart(I try not to), the Employee asks me if I have a mask. I tell the employee that I prefer not to wear one, because lack of oxygen makes me dizzy.

The employee says go on in. At least 5 people that were there ALL came up to me and said they agreed with me, and just didn’t want to argue, so they wore a mask.

I did a lot of research on the issue, and I don’t think the blanket mask edict makes sense, and I do think that it can potentially do more harm than good.

If Walmart had ever responded back by telling me then you can’t enter, I would have left and NEVER gone back. I have made it a point to go to other places since their mask edict.

I also make it a point to ask the cashier to tell their management that I am shopping there instead of Walmart due to Walmart’s stupid policy on masks.

Regarding civil disobedience, there is also such a thing as community activism, and it has been employed by the left for decades against corporations.

Stupid rules should be challenged-that doesn’t mean acting stupid and ignorant. Be calm, logical, and polite-it’s quite ok to disagree-that doesn’t mean a person has to be disagreeable.

FR doesn’t disappoint. Scrolling through the posts, I see many Karens posting their opinions here as usual. I swear, we are being overrun by liberals or conservatives don’t have balls anymore.

There are several parts to civil disobedience. One part is to accept your punishment. Like Thoreau going to jail for refusing to pay taxes or Martin Luther King for protesting. You are supposed to use that punishment to bring attention to the cause you are protesting.

But O'Neill decided to complain. He could have talked in a reasoned manner, but his words sound like a whine.

I do not like wearing a mask and think it is a stupid act, but I wear a mask when in a store, because 1) so the business will not be fined and 2) so as not make others feel uncomfortable. For instance, "that clerk" may really feel that masks are important, so who am I to stress a person who just wants to do their job. Once out of the store the mask comes off. Give me dirty look- I smile and wave. Try to scold me and I will call you a buttercup.

On similar note, I went to a wedding last weekend. About a 150 were there and it lasted about five hours. No one in the bridal party or guests wore masks. The caterer's group wore masks (to not get fined), but after about an hour the catering group were wearing their masks under their noses. There were supposed to be about 250 people (empty tables) so I asked the Mother of the bride what happened. She told me that all of her friends who are democrats were too scared to show up.

They’ve always been here, self-styled libertarians who are just oh-so-much smarter than you, still awaiting their libertarian paradise, which will come right after the workers’. Too clever by half.

You can’t wear a mask if you’re drinking or eating. How do they know he wasn’t doing that when he took his selfie? What a-holes.

Do you wear a mask when you’re eating or drinking on a plane or at a restaurant?
